Cremorne

English
Gaeilge
For the design of this jorum, a hand-blown glass bowl sits on a copper-patinated bronze tripod. The rough textured finish of the bronze contrasts with the smoothness of the blown glass. Each accompanying goblet weighs approximately 1kg giving it a sense of mass when taken in the hand. The tapered profile of each goblet makes them more ergonomically comfortable for the user, while their rims are polished to make them supple on the lip. In order to allow the spoon to hang upright in the bowl when closed, a niche was cut out of the beech wood lid.
Babhla gloine séidthe le lámh a shuíonn ar tríchosach cré-umha paiteanaithe le copair. Tá codarsnacht idir críoch gharbh an cré-umha agus míne an gloine séidthe. Tá meáchan timpeall 1kg ar gach cuach a thugann mothú an mais nuair a thógtar sa lámh iad. Déanann próifíl barrchaolaithe gach cuach níos compórdaí don úsáideoir, agus tá snas curtha ar na himil a chiallíonn go bhfuil siad bog ar na beola. Gearradh cuasán amach as an claibín feá chun go mbeadh an spúnóg in ann crocadh go díreach sa bhabhla nuair atá sé dúnta.
